The Environment

Packpost recognises the need for its corporate commitment to environmental issues facing the world today. Whilst we cannot insist that clients use only environmentally sound materials and methods, it is company policy to always encourage consideration of environmental impact by automatically offering options such as recycled material or material from renewable sources, together with biodegradable envelopes and polyfilm.

Packpost will soon be working towards BS EN ISO 14001:1996 - the environmental accreditation scheme as well as FSC & PEFC.

In the meantime, we are committed to reducing any impact we may have on the environment.  This includes –

• Recycling waste materials and scrap.
• Recycling packaging materials wherever possible
• Reduction of power consumption
• Ensuring that all solvents used by the company do not contain elements of CFC.’s in content or manufacturing process.
• Safe disposal of used solvents and solutions from the company’s processes by an approved environmental control agency.
• Ensuring that the building and surrounds are maintained to prevent energy loss and for ecological protection.
• Promoting the use of recycled, biodegradable and oxodegradable products wherever possible to our clients.
